A dog food TV ad is released that dogs supposedly can hear , Beneful brand dog food TV ad is released that contains a high-pitched sound that dogs supposedly can hear. The message to pups: Bark if you want your owner to buy this brand of dog food.

Nestle, the company that owns Beneful brand dog food, is unleashing a commercial in Europe that supposedly contains a high-pitched sound that only dogs can hear, reports The Wall Street Journal. The brand claims its attempt to ‘talk’ directly to dogs really works – dogs hear the sound and wag their tails.

The ad, which the company hopes will get the owners to roll over and buy the product, was tested this summer in Germany. Before attempting to woo dogs based on what they hear, Nestle attempted to seduce dogs based on their sense of smell.

Earlier this year, Beneful launched a campaign in Germany where dogs could sniff the doggie chow’s scent from special posters.
