Coachella 2012 expanded
Coachella 2012 expanded. Goldenvoice, the concert promoters behind the wildly successful Coachella Arts and Music Festival, announced this morning that they're going even bigger in 2012. The festival will now take place over two consecutive weekends, and the Coachella 2012 dates are April 13-15, 2012, and April 20-22, 2010. The 2011 event sold out in six days, so two weekends should mean more people — who are willing to shell out the big bucks needed to attend — will have a chance to party in the desert and listen to some of the year's biggest musical acts.
Plus, the two weekends will apparently have the same set lists. Goldenvoice said in a statement, "We will attempt to produce two identical festival weekends. That means same lineup, same art, same place, different people." Passes will start to go on sale this Friday, months before the Coachella lineup is historically announced in January. So, what are you thinking about the ever-expanding Coachella — bigger is better or is it starting to be a turn off?
